Fight against poverty

We believe that by empowering the community to take control of its future, lasting changes are obtained. To address the real needs of the members of the community, and direct systematic and self-supported actions towards eliminating the causes of poverty, is our strategic aim. Because of this, we do not limit ourselves to just transferring donations to the beneficiaries of the Long Distance Adoption Program, which would only deal temporarily with the consequences of poverty, but we go a step further to involve the families of the children, and to aid them in the task of turning into protagonists of their own development, guaranteeing in the process the basic rights of the members of the community.

Improving our life: it is a right

The Long Distance Adoption Program has been developed to help solve the roots of poverty. Through the "adopted" child, aid reaches all the components of the family nucleus and the members of their community. The collected funds have a concrete impact, especially in the environment where the child lives. The projects are carried out in close collaboration with the community and the Project Coordinators from the PUPI Foundation. Our projects are planned in the medium and long term, since they aim, finally, at achieving sustainable development in the community. The program includes involving the children's' families by facilitating resources for the production of goods, delivering training, and developing managerial capacities in the community.
